Timea Stan is a writer and bookish content creator based in Melbourne, Australia. She is currently writing her first book in a YA urban fantasy trilogy, EVEREARTH. She loves reading everything from YA to fantasy (and everything in between), posting about books on Instagram and YouTube, and creating content for books lovers. Bookish Favourites

Favourite writer:  Sarah J. Maas, Marissa Meyer, Isobelle Carmody, J. K. Rowling, Robert Jordan, Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen…so so many.
Favourite book: All time favourites are Greylands by Isobelle Carmody and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling, but my recent favourites were A Court of  Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas and the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.
Favourite literary heroine: Elspeth Gordie from the Obernewtyn Chronicles by Isobelle Carmody.
Favourite storyline: A kid who doesn’t fit in and doesn’t feel like she’s good at anything discovers a magical world, a tribe of misfits who take her in, and a quest to save the world that only she can complete.
Favourite genre: Fantasy of all kinds, but especially urban fantasy and epic fantasy, science fiction, romance, young adult, dystopian, contemporary, and adventure. I’m very excited about the rise of the Ecofiction genre and love the books I read and write to pose some deep ethical questions or explore universal truths.
Favourite love story: Rhys and Feyre in A Court of Mist and Fury. *swoon*
Fictional doppelgänger: Lara Croft…haha, in my dreams. Who wouldn’t want to be a badass archaeologist, travelling the world, kicking butt and taking names?
Fictional boyfriend: Lucien from A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I love me some red hair and a tortured, but ultimately kind soul.
Fictional best friend: I recently fell in LOVE with Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (look it up, it’s on Netflix!) and  every time Todd’s sister Amanda came on screen I would exclaim “I would SO be best friends with her if she was a real person!” This happens to me more than I’d like to admit.
If I were a song, I’d be: Miss Murder by AFI
If I could be another writer for a day:  Sarah J. Maas. I have followed her journey for years and cried along with her when she received THE CALL.
If I weren’t a writer, I would be: A lawyer or a teacher which, incidentally, is/was my day job.
Things I keep on my writing desk:  Trinkets from my childhood, my framed writing goals and copies of the books that currently inspire me: Obernewtyn and Empire of Storms.
Secret talents:  I can whistle out of the side of my mouth, but I can’t whistle in the middle …
